Common questions
A one-page certificate of insurance and a 100-page commercial package policy take very different amounts of work to extract. Counting uploads would mean short-doc customers subsidize long-doc customers. Pages track real work, so billing stays fair in both directions. A typical declarations page runs 3-6 pages, so 500 pages/month on Pro is roughly 100 declarations pages.
When you upload a PDF, Surabase counts the number of pages in the file before running extraction. Every page in that PDF counts against your allowance — whether it's a declarations sheet, a coverage form, or a signature page. Once a policy is in your dashboard, viewing, searching, editing, and exporting it are free forever. You only pay for new uploads, not for keeping policies in your account.
Additional pages on Pro are $0.05 each, billed at the end of the cycle. No interruptions, no hard caps. Agency gets an even lower per-page rate at $0.03.
