1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Surabase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Surabase is a software platform for independent insurance agents and brokers that allows users to upload policy PDFs, automatically extract structured coverage data, organize policies by client, and track renewals and coverage gaps across their book of business. Surabase is a software vendor and does not sell insurance, bind coverage, or act as an insurance producer.

3. Authorized Use of Documents

By uploading any policy document to Surabase, you represent and warrant that (a) you are authorized to upload and process that document on behalf of yourself, your clients, or your agency, and (b) the upload and processing is consistent with all applicable privacy laws (including GLBA where applicable), professional licensing requirements, and any agreements you have with your clients or carriers. Surabase does not verify agent licensing, carrier appointments, or client consent; responsibility for lawful use of the service rests with the user.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to Surabase. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze your documents solely for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to uploading malicious content, attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Surabase platform, including its design, features, and technology, remain the exclusive property of Surabase.

8. Limitation of Liability

Surabase is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. The information provided by Surabase does not constitute professional insurance advice.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violations of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
